5.0 Results Computation and Grading
This section outlines how examination results are computed, the grading system used, and how diplomas are classified.
5.1 Computation of Results
- Results are based on both Continuous Assessment (CA) and final examination scores.
- CA typically contributes 30–40% of the total score; exams contribute 60–70%.
- Scores are compiled by course tutors and verified by departmental and school boards.
- Final results are approved by the Academic Board.

- Fail: CGPA below 2.00
5.4 GPA and CGPA
- GPA: Grade Point Average for a single semester.
- CGPA: Cumulative Grade Point Average across all semesters.
- Used to determine academic standing, progression, and eligibility for graduation.
