10.0 Academic Progression and Career Services
This section outlines the criteria for student progression, diploma awards, academic counselling, and career development support.
10.1 Progression Guidelines
- Students must maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.00 to progress to the next level.
- Students on probation (CGPA below 2.00) must improve performance within one semester or risk withdrawal.
- Carry-over courses must be cleared before graduation.
10.2 Diploma Award Conditions
- Completion of all required courses and credits.
- Successful completion of SIWES (for ND students).
- Minimum CGPA of 2.00.
- Clearance from all departments and units.
10.3 Classification of Diplomas
- Distinction: CGPA 3.50 – 4.00
- Upper Credit: CGPA 3.00 – 3.49
- Lower Credit: CGPA 2.50 – 2.99
- Pass: CGPA 2.00 – 2.49
- Fail: CGPA below 2.00
10.4 Notification of Results
- Results are published after Academic Board approval.
- Students may access results via notice boards or online portals.
- Errors or omissions must be reported within two weeks of publication.
10.5 Academic Counselling
- Level Coordinators and Heads of Departments provide guidance on course selection and academic challenges.
- Students are encouraged to seek help early to avoid academic probation or withdrawal.
10.6 Career Services
- The Career Services Unit supports students in career planning, job search, and entrepreneurship.
- Services include CV writing, interview preparation, and career fairs.
